Petshot Digital Camera

Petshot

If anyone knows where I can get one of these my 8 year old daughter would love to have one. Petshot is a little digital camera that takes up to 15 images, saves them on a cartrage so you can share them with your friends or email (?) them and there is also a little digital pet that you can care for and play with.

Nuclear Science Center at Texas A&M University

Pretty Blue Light....

Texas A&M rocks! Where else can you tour a nuclear reactor? Sounds like just about the only things you don’t get to do it juggle fuel rods and swim in the reactor pool! Texas is looking like a better vacation spot every day…

When operating, the reactor gives off a blue glow known as Cherenkov Radiation.
When an intense radioactive source ejects high-energy charged particles into a transparent material such as water, plastic, or glass, a ghostly bluish glow extending some distance into the medium can be seen. This phenomenon is easily observed when a room containing a swimming pool reactor or a gamma facility is darkened. [Ours is intense enough that our facility does not need darkening to be able to view this phenomenon.]

Comic Life

Here is a very fun and cool app. Take a bunch of photos, drop them into a comic page add some text in the balloons and bingo! Instant comic book! Ok, it’s good enough to use for little projects… What the hell, I’d use it for a little ‘zine… Why not? Here comes my many travel adventures in the form of a comic book! New York, Japan, Thailand…

Amazing G4 Case Mod

G5 Cube Case

Wow! This guy scratch built a case in the shape of a G4 Cube but styled like a G5. And there is not reason you could not do the same thing for a PC built with a mini-ATX mainboard.
