And they chose a channel that deals with science fiction? Get real... Only an idiot woul... Oh yeah, we are talking about TV executives aren't we. But you say that "ECW Wrestling is not on Sci Fi because it’s the only station it could get on," and then you say "the ECW brand is getting a try out on a random time slot to see if it can get ratings enough to be put on USA." I call BS on this. SciFi is owned by NBC Universal, they also own Bravo, A&E, USA Network, and a host of others. They might not have the ratings to get on USA but why did they choose SciFi? The programmers at SciFi should know that their viewers don't want the network turned into a test bed for non-scifi programming.
BTW, I applaud your copy and paste technique. It must have taken you seconds to drop in the exact same comment you made on Digg. Thank you for not swearing, I would have deleted your comment if you had.

Reported for being an ENTIRELY misinformed article.

ECW Wrestling is not on Sci Fi because it's the only station it could get on, or because SciFi is aiming to go another direction.

It is owned by the parent company that owns USA, and the company that owns ECW puts on a promotion called WWE, which is the biggest draw on the USA channel right now - the ECW brand is getting a try out on a random timeslot to see if it can get ratings enough to be put on USA.
