The Cosmetics Fridge

The Cosmetics Fridge

I told my wife about this and she instantly said “I want one!”. I might just get it for her just to have the fridge door back. 🙂
The PR says that it uses “steam semiconductor cooling system”, I’m with the guy from Oh Gizmo, I don’t know what that is either but I think its a translation error. Sounds like it uses a Peltier cooler and maybe an evap system. The digital readout of the interior temperature is a nice added feature. Looks cool, should become very popular among the makeup using crowd.

Dekart SIM Card Reader

SIM card reader

Now this will be a handy device. It might not get used very often but when it does it will be invaluable. No more messing with cables to download info from your phonebook, just pop out the SIM card and stick it in the USB reader. With the included software you can update your phone numbers with a real keyboard, that alone should make this an instant buy. I have typing phone numbers in on my phone. Backing up your digits is easy too, never know when your phone might get nicked or lost down a sewer.

Taikonaut B-day in Space

After a little extra burn to correct their orbit, The two Chinese astronauts (‘taikonauts’) are adapting well to their five day mission. During a televised conference, one of the astronauts was shown clapping after his daughter had sang ‘happy birthday’ to him. This is quite a mission for China, so far Russia and the US have been the only countries to successfully launch a manned space mission. With China building on space hardware technology from Russia and ambition to make a name for itself as a modern country, they might make it to the moon before we get a chance to return ourselves.
