I’d like to thank Kelly Small for writing up and posting the photos from the November PAReX event. Fun was had by all, can’t wait to do it again. (Maybe this time I’ll have a robot to run…)

I’d actually thought up this technology myself and described the possibilities to my wife. The next step would be to have GPS in the phone so location recording was automatic. I’d want my phone to give me advice on best driving routes based on day of week and times. It would also be nice to know if it was a weekend and you happened to be in the same part of town as your friends.

(I’d like it so it would remind me to call/text my wife! -John)
Oh yeah! It had nuclear space mines, a cannon for self defence, and a laser for blinding its targets. I’ll take six please!

I’m getting ready for another trip up north to visit the family. You think that after a few Thanksgiving flights I woul dhave learned my lesson. Nope! Not me! In fact this is going to be even more fun because my wife is flying out of New York on the same day so we can meet my brother in Omaha and then drive to Sioux Falls from there.
It’s going to be nice to introduce Tum (my wife) to the family, I know that they are going to love her!
I should have bunches of photos to post when I get back.
Last week, the latest incarnation of the Swedish mega store Ikea opened here in the metro area. I visitied it on Wednesday and found the store to be impressive. Its big, big as any Target and verging on Costco size. The second floor adds a gob of floor space. The selection of stuff is nice, just about everything the young trend followers need to look the part can be had there.
I’ll be buying a bed and a few other things from there once I have a better place, right now I have hardly enough area for all the old non Ikea things I have. IKEA!
Like all good games, this one has a walkthrough that will let you go right to the boss and get the dresser and bath set of your dreams:

I remember the plans for one in a Scientific American book but it was no where near 1-MeV!
I like the fact that the duo will be building a Farnsworth Fusor next, I expect that they will have some very positive results with it.
