So you dropped serious coin on one of those wacky coffee makers that use a proprietary pod system. Everything is going just great, you set it up and the next morning you brew yourself a big ‘ol cup of joe. Too bad the coffee they sell for it sucks. After you dump the pot and scrub out the bad taste in your mouth with some Crest, you left wondering what the heck your going to do with your fru-fru coffee-o-matic. Very UNSAFE way to make them. They need to be COMPLETELY sealed – not just folded.
If you have a BUNN My Cafe machine, sealing of the homemade pods is not critical. Just fold the excess paper over the coffee and press down firmly. I suppose the reason that a tight seal isn’t necessary is that the BUNN machine doesn’t build up high pressure as do the others. I make large pods ( a full scoop) each time without mishap. Now I can make a full 12 oz mug in one shot. I’m glad I bought the BUNN!
