The MiniDisc never made it very big here in the states in the general consumer market, professionals use it nowadays but thats about it. You can still buy the recorders and media at some of the larger electronics stores but the format never took off here. Its a pity, I had one and it was just darn cool. It made some of the cleanest audio recordings of wild sound I have ever done. It broke a while back and I just never got around to replacing it. I should, I have a disc full of sounds I recorded in Japan that I’d love to hear again.
