BiblioRoll – A New Way To Read

BiblioRoll

A new concept in eText/eBook reading has been unleashed upon the world. You have to see the video o fully understand how it works but the idea is simple. Take the normal operations of reading a book or many books (remember researching reports in school?), marking pages, and making notes and stick them into a cylinder that has movable segments and LCD screens. Could this, or something much like it be the next wave of the future? Maybe… I can see this interface being used in an existing eBook reading like a Sony Librie.

Doraemon!

Doraemon

When you say ‘Doraemon’ most people will say that he is ‘that weird cat thing from Japan’. That’s partially true. He is a cat, a robotic one from the future, and he has been the start of comics (manga) and cartoons in Japan as far back at the 1970’s. The stories are usually about his friend Nobita getting into some sort of trouble at school or by being too lazy for his own good. Doraemon will normally produce some sort of gadget from his fourth-dimensional pouch that will be the perfect cure for the problem. This inevitably will cause Nobita (or his friends) to get too greedy and screw things up even more…

3D Invader Piece Made of Rubiks Cubes

Space invader in Rublik cubes

This is just a wacky item. As many people may know, scattered around the planet are tile mosaics depicting the aliens from the classic video game ‘Space Invaders‘. Well this is one made up of not the usual ceramic tiles but of Rublik cubes. Neat. I’m waiting for someone to build a massive sculpture out of Merlin games.
