With all the news about the probe on Titan, the tsunami, snow, the administration stroking its ego, etc, it’s easy to forget that there is a manned space station in orbit around Earth. Due to recent solar activity, there is a possibility of a strong magnetic storm soon. This might pose quite a health hazard to the two cosmonauts.

LED Scrolling Text IcedOut Belt Buckle
While in New York two weeks ago, my wife and I were in the Virgin music store in Times Sq. It was like 11:30 or something, we had poped in to get out of the cold for a while. As we were going down to the bottom floor I notice that some guy walking across the room has light on his belt buckle. Moving lights. I think, ‘Hey, pretty cool! ‘ and tell my wife to take a look at that guys belt buckle. So does and totaly fails to have that ‘wow technology!’ reaction that I had. I told her that I had to have one and what do you know, she didn’t beleive me! 🙂
Whizzzzzzzzzzzz!

Is That a Cactus in Your Pocket, or Are You just Happy to See Me…

The latest thing from Japan, keychain plants. As listed on the SorobanGeeks page, they sell for about $10 and are living plants. Once the little guy gets too big for its dome, you simply transplant it to a larger pot. I think that this is a very cute idea, just remember to leave you keys in the sun once ina while (maybe someone will sell a broad spectrum lamp that you can keep you keys in so the plant won’t die.)

Who You Gonna Call?
In addition to the monks that will purge the coastline homes of bad spirits, the locals are now selling DVDs of the amateur video footage taken during the tsunami. You can even buy salt damaged watches that are frozen at 10:10, the time the wave hit.
