Hydrogen Economy

“If the fuel cell is to become the modern steam engine, basic research must provide breakthroughs in understanding, materials, and design to make a hydrogen based energy system a vibrant and competitive force.”
This is quite true, in my personal opinion the biggest huddle to over come will be the distribution of hydrogen or whatever we eventually decide to use as an alternative fuel.

Will Eisner, a master comic book artist passed away yesterday at 87 due to complications of heart surgery. From his creation of the Spirit in 1941 to his upcoming graphic novel (The Plot) his mastery of the craft has inspired many to follow in his footsteps. Eisner was both the artist and writer of the strips he did, he created the idea of the ‘graphic novel’, and was so honored by his peers that one of the highest honors of the comic industry was named after him. The Downfall of TechTV

There was a time when if the preview channel was showing a week of TechTV I’d try to record as much of it as I could. When I’d visit my brother in South Dakota it was the only thing I’d want to watch on TV. I was one month away from buying digital cable so I could have this amazing network on my TV whenever I wanted it. Thats right, I was going to spend money to see this network. In fact, I bet I would have bought things shown on there and been swayed by the advertising that was wedged between the good bits. It was literally the only thing good on TV.
Then things broke down. Comcast bought TechTV and merged it with their G4 video gamming network. Overnight it went from being a network for geeks and technical people to a network for gamers and geek posers. Once again, the all knowing suits of Hollywood have taken what was once near perfect and castrated it. The golden goose has been killed. Read it from a man that went from a lowly intern to an associate producer, and then just another victim of the G4/TechTV layoff.
