Stormtrooper in Yokohama

Stormtrooper in Yokohama

Master Gundam model hobbyist Danny Choo shows us that an Imperial Stormtrooper is just your average salaryman. He bought a set of ‘Trooper armor (and had to do quite a re-fit on it due to poor workmanship apparently) and decided to wear it around the streets of Tokyo and Yokohama. Amazing how many people have camera phones there, he would draw quite a crowd of onlookers. And as always, kids dig the blaster. Make sure that you see his videos of the train ride and Yokohama station and also in the streets of Akihabara – I can’t think of a better place to shop for the latest in Thermal Detonators than good old Electric Town.

Print Your Own Rulers!

Printable rulers

This is exactly what I have been looking for. I have a Moleskine notepad that I keep with me at all times and I don’t know how often I’ve needed a ruler that is marked in millimeters. One of these rulers has already been added to the collection of goodies I keep within the covers of my intrepid notebook. I think I’ll print out the color square rulers too just in case I need to take any photos that need a scale next to it. Never know when I might see a bigfoot track out in the wild.

Protopage Busted?

Protopage

Crud, it looks like one of my favorite web pages is down. I use Protopage to keep a BUNCH of my web links orginized on my various computers. I like the fact that it was the same on every page and so darn easy to maintain. If they are down due to a server crash or somthing it would be nice to have their main page redirected to a ‘sorry, it broke’ page or somthing. I hope it’s up soon…

Adult Swim Bumps

One of the things that got my attention other than the cartoons (that Harvey, such a crack up) on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim were the little clips between the shows and commercials. The ‘bumpers’ as they are called, were always something to look forward to. Many times I wish I could have learned more about how wrote them and where to get the music they played. Good thing the BumpWorthy page is around to keep track of all that stuff. I’ve been looking through the old bumps and reliving the fond ephemeral memories of the non sequiturs that would snap me awake while I would be waiting for Sealab 2021 or ATHF to come back on.

Holga Digital

Digital Holga

This is a cool idea, but I don’t feel like dropping mega bucks on a digital film back right at this moment. I want to see what the images look like though.

The only DIGITAL HOLGA available in the WORLD! Skillfully modified to work with any Imacon Ixpress digital back, (not included) this Digital Holga sets a new standard of creative photography. Complete with Continuous Elastomer Retaining Devices (rubber bands) to hold your Holga securely in place, and a detailed Instruction Manual, the Digital Holga is ready to unleash your vision. A Hot-Shoe adapter and a Sub-Mini to PC cable is needed to make it all work. A "Holgaroid" Viewfinder is also a helpful accessory.
