Comic Life

Comic Life

Here is a very fun and cool app. Take a bunch of photos, drop them into a comic page add some text in the balloons and bingo! Instant comic book! Ok, it’s good enough to use for little projects… What the hell, I’d use it for a little ‘zine… Why not? Here comes my many travel adventures in the form of a comic book! New York, Japan, Thailand…

GoogleX

Oops, a little late on this one but I’ll post it anyway. This is an implementation of the Google main page that has been modified to look like the tool bar in OS X. It has the cool mouseover grow and all the handy features that you would normaly have to go looking for on the Google site (video, news, local, more…)

GIMP Shop

With this you can make Gimp (a free powerful photo editing program) look more like the popular Photoshop. As a PS user myself, I have had a hard time using Gimp because the buttons are just in the wrong places! This pretty much solves that problem. It runs just fine on my G4 500MHz Beige FrankenMac.

If your just not getting enough sound out of yoru iPod try one of these. 15 watts of pure tube power! The KT88 tubes can output more power but I think it will distort a little but 15 W is not bad for a desk unit. Be the envy of all your office mates as they listen in on your morning podcasts!

iPod Shuffle Clone

Spuer Lawsuit Magnet
This is a few days late but still pretty good. At this years CeBit, the Taiwan company Luxpro introduced the ‘Super Shuffle’. It’s a flash based MP3 player that comes in 512MB and 1GB sizes. It also boasts the ability to play WMA files and FM radio. Pretty cool, except that it is a dead ringer for the Apple Shuffle (minus the WMA and FM radio). Sounds like somone will be getting all sorts of letters from Apple pretty darn soon.
I’d but one even if the FM range was a bit off from what we have here in the US.
