I mentioned Max’s page a little while ago, he built himself a teleprompter to assist his web casting. He has made a few changes to his first design. Go take a look, this might come in handy one day.

These look nifty. You can program the display from a PC so you can make signs or as you can see little animations show up on your enclosed spinning globe. Is’nt persistance of vision wonderful? I wonder if anyone will do an open source version. With LEDs costing so little and microcontrollers being easy to program these could be a fun little project. I hope to see this in MAKE soon.

So your a student in Japan and you can’t get your family to shut up enough so you can do your homework from cram school. You have to make it to Todai or your going to be a total looser for the third year running. What are you going to do? Why not rent this nifty sound proof room for your room. Thats right, it’s a small sub room that fits in a regular room. It takes up 1.5 tatami mats (4.6’x6’x6.7′), has one network port, two phone jacks, a cable jack for your TV, and three electrical outlets. It even has an air conditioner! All for less than $300 a month.

A very good idea, I hope these can be used to save lives of personal in battle. Just remember to still be able to slip a finger under it when it’s used.

Have something to day? Want to send that message to outer space? This is your chance. I don’t know if this will have any results but what the heck, give it a try. Better you send a message that aother race hears than them seeing episodes of “I love Lucy”

Cool idea, great use of CD cases too. This setup would make a dandy Pepper’s Ghost type of visual gag for your next Halloween party.
